Vice President for University Advancement
University of New Haven
West Haven, CT

The University of New Haven, a private, comprehensive, coeducational university, stands apart from other institutions of higher learning because of its commitment to the concept of experiential learning.  This hands-on approach, now being adopted by many competitors, prepares students to meet the needs of today’s highly specialized and technological world.

Based upon the extraordinary gifts already made to the University, the stage is set to create a rigorous advancement program under the auspices of a pro-active Vice President of Advancement.  Reporting to President Steven H. Kaplan, Ph.D., the VP will establish, plan and implement a visionary program for fundraising, communications, and constituent relations.  This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned strategist and builder to shape and lead a dynamic initiative in partnership with an articulate and hard-driving fundraising President.  The VP will also manage a portfolio of top university prospects.

Named as a finalist for the 2008 All-America City Award, West Haven Connecticut is located half-way between Boston and New York City, and is home to world-class, award-winning theatre, musical organizations, and renowned museums.  The 80-acre campus is minutes from the beach with ample outdoor access to hiking trails, parks and farms.

The position offers an excellent benefits and compensation package.  Send cover letter and resume to Jill Lasman.
