The Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington seeks an exceptionally motivated and experienced leader to become its Assistant Dean of Advancement. Indiana Law recently adopted a visionary strategic plan that charts the course of the Law School’s future. A top-tier public law school located in the heart of Indiana University, and one of the nation’s premier research institutions, Indiana Law has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and persuasive individual to lead its development efforts.

As the Law School’s chief advancement officer, the Assistant Dean will collaborate closely with Dean Lauren Robel, the school’s prestigious faculty, an engaged board of alumni advisors, and an experienced staff to achieve the school’s vision and advancement initiatives. The Assistant Dean will report directly to the Dean of the Law School, and will also work with the IU Foundation to ensure that the resources of that outstanding institution are maximized for the benefit of the Law School. The Assistant Dean will oversee and manage all aspects of annual, major, and planned giving as the school seeks to achieve and exceed its campaign goals. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a JD or other advanced degree is strongly preferred. Interested candidates should have significant experience in managing an office of advancement in an educational or non-profit setting and experience in closing major gifts. Experience in organizing and running a successful campaign is strongly preferred. Significant travel is expected as Indiana Law’s alumni are in leadership positions across the nation.
