The Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President for Alumni and College Relations, the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications (AVP) will be responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive public relations, communications and marketing program that enhances Berea’s reputation regionally, statewide, and nationally. The AVP will collaboratively build and manage a visionary strategy encompassing Media Relations, Development Communications, and Web Services to raise awareness of the College and its distinctive place in higher education. The AVP will lead the team to share Berea’s distinctive philanthropic mission across a multitude of marketing methods and communication channels effectively and expertly. This is a tremendous opportunity for a seasoned public relations and communications professional to help put a national spotlight on the inspiring mission, students and stories of Berea College.
