The Opportunity

The Associate Vice President, Philanthropy, Campaign Initiatives (AVP) will be responsible for managing the City of Hope’s campaign strategic initiatives and its team, while establishing and refining best practices for management and development that encourage high-quality, long-term relationships with current and prospective donors.

Reporting to the Vice President for Philanthropy and Campaign Strategies, the AVP will collaborate closely with medical and scientific faculty and possess knowledge of trends in research, clinical trials, community interactions and national healthcare. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience (7+ years) in campaign management with an emphasis on internal and external communications, as well as a background in leading teams, working across a complex organization, and engaging physician and research stakeholders in philanthropic planning. A high-level of comfort with sophisticated medical projects, and the ability to translate technical subject matter into compelling cases for support, is essential.
