The Opportunity

Reporting to the President of the University, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement will direct alumni relations, fundraising and development programs for the university. S/he will develop and implement plans for a capital campaign, convey the vision for the University to internal and external constituencies, and work closely with current and prospective major, individual, corporate, and foundation donors. The selected candidate will have a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in fundraising, preferably in a higher education setting, as well as major gift solicitation experience and significant fundraising achievements. The Vice President must possess an excellent understanding of higher education organizational and governance structures, as well as the goals and objectives of a private liberal arts university.
