Vice President of Development

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation

Norwalk, Connecticut

By helping to accelerate the development of new treatments and changing cancer research methods, The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is dedicated to eradicating multiple myeloma, currently an incurable blood cancer. As the world's number one private funder of multiple myeloma research, the MMRF has raised over $330 million since its inception and directs nearly 90% of its total budget to research and related programming. With its efforts, ten drugs have received FDA approval in the time it normally takes for one, and the Foundation is well-positioned to see new drug breakthroughs that will make a difference in patients' lives.

The Opportunity

Directly reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Development position is ideal for a strong, energetic leader who craves the opportunity to take MMRF’s fundraising efforts to the next level. MMRF seeks someone who can provide the vision needed to build a full-scale development program including major gifts, planned giving, foundations and annual giving and can lead a team to guide these efforts to success. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success, particularly with major campaigns, and experience building and leading teams. A minimum of eight years in leadership positions in development teams and experience in Oncology and/or Hematology is required.
