Chief Development Officer

The Museum of Arts and Design

New York, New York

Since its founding in 1956, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) has celebrated the creative processes by which materials are transformed. Through its exhibitions and programs, MAD places craft firmly within the context of contemporary artistic practice, new technology, industry, and design while also reflecting on local traditions and historic innovations. Celebrating its 62nd anniversary in 2018, MAD welcomes more than 250,000 visitors annually and serves 6,000 school students and over 7,500 members each year.

Today, the Museum is the leading institution devoted to craft across all forms of contemporary creative practice, from traditional techniques to cutting-edge technologies. The Museum has built a permanent collection of more than 3,000 objects that documents the history of the field from the mid-20th century to the present. Since moving to the Jerome and Simona Chazen Building, its 54,000-square-foot home at New York City’s Columbus Circle, MAD has increased the range of its programming dramatically and dedicated galleries to its growing collection.
