Ronald Reagan dreamed of a nation focused on freedom and achieving its "destiny to be as a shining city on a hill for all mankind to see." The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute (RRPFI) was created by President Reagan himself and its mission is to complete President Reagan’s unfinished work and to preserve the timeless principles he championed.

The Institute is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the legacy of Ronald Reagan and his ideals of individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy, and national pride. It sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, the Ronald Reagan Institute, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center, the Air Force One Pavilion and the award-winning Air Force One Discovery Center.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Director of Major Gifts will manage a portfolio of 125-150 high-level prospects with the capacity to give $100k+. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic development plan to substantially increase major gift revenue from individuals. The Director will secure $3-5M in his/her first year and $5-$7M in subsequent years. Working closely with the CDO, the Director will develop, implement, and manage a proactive and effective major gifts program including all activities relating to the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual major gift prospects. A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts in a significant non-profit organization is required.
