University of Utah Health is expected to raise over $200 million in FY2017 as part of a capital campaign to construct a state-of-the-art medical school, rehabilitation hospital, ambulatory care center and innovation and discovery center.

The Opportunity

The Senior Director of Advancement (SDOA) for the Cardiovascular Initiative will develop and guide a comprehensive philanthropy program for the Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery divisions at University of Utah Health. Supporting these divisions will include engaging physician leadership, administrators and care teams in wide-ranging development efforts. This development professional will help identify and manage a pool of 150+ prospects, create and sustain collaborative partnerships with the University of Utah Health Office of Advancement, and will understand multi-faceted campaign planning, implementation and management. The SDOA will report to the Deputy Chief Philanthropy Officer and the Chiefs of the Divisions of Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery. A minimum of seven years of experience is required, preferably in an academic medical organization.
