The Opportunity

Washington and Lee seeks a Director of Gift Planning with the capacity and desire to embrace the mission and values that make the University distinct among its liberal arts peers. Working with the Associate Director of Gift Planning and the Development Associate, the Director will lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, record and steward gifts from prospects whose support can be maximized through gift planning strategies. This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced frontline planned giving officer to a committed and collegial team of advancement professionals. S/He will be well-versed in the technical and legal aspects of planned giving and complex giving assets, as well as possess a demonstrated ability to build relationships with donors and prospects that lead to planned gifts.
